‘He never told you about them?’ the gentle voice of Remus whispered as he observed the look Harry was expressing. The concern in his unstable voice revealed that it was abnormal that his godfather had never spoken a word about the beautiful witch who he was kissing on the picture. The little pile of blankets in the woman’s arms covered a little human being. The hand of Sirius was carefully placed on the same pile, scared that he would might break what was inside. Harry had seen the woman before on pictures of the old Marauders or the order of the phoenix, but never in the loving arms of his godfather. ‘Aleidis Blishwick.’ Spoke Remus with a subtle hint of sadness covering his words. A quick smile formed itself on his damaged face. He lifted up his index finger and pointed it to the blond hair that was popping out of the old blanket. ‘That was their son. Tabith.’ Harry got more confused as Remus explained the picture. How could Sirius have never told him about his family. How could he keep this from him? He soon felt a comforting hand holding his shoulder. ‘Don’t worry Harry. He never spoke about them to anyone.’ He murmured as soon as he saw the doubts Harry was having. His green eyes kept staring through his old glasses to the picture that captured him from the moment he saw it. ‘What happened to them?’ he asked scared for the answer. Remus was held up as his attention focused itself on the noise coming from the living room, but Harry didn’t want to wait. He lifted up his eyes and looked up to the tired man who was standing next to him. It was like Remus deliberately had averted his attention. His eyes closed as he took a deep breath. ‘They got killed.’ Harry knew for sure that the painfull event which terrorized his being, stroke again. He could tell that teardrops were pushing up against his eyelids and that was why he had closed them earlier. ‘Death eaters tortured Ally for their own revenge and pleasure.’ Harry noticed that Remus swallowed loudly, indicating that he was fighting up against his grief. ‘When they were satisfied they killed her. Together with her baby boy.’ He spoke with an unstable voice. Harry could already see some tears escaping his attempts to prevent them. ‘When he found out,..’. Remus took a moment to stabilize his voice, knowing he sounded like a hurted little boy. ‘It destroyed Sirius’. It was visible that her death did not only destroy Sirius, but also his best friend. Harry gave the picture a last glance before he looked up to Remus again, who was trying to remain strong. ‘Tell me about her.’ Harry said with honest curiosity. Now he knew his deceased godfather had a family before, he wanted to know all about this curious young woman and the life she had lead. ‘I can’t’ whispered Remus softly before he turned his back to the young wizard and walked out of the room without even giving Harry a glance.
