Ben een week terug aan het werk en heb nu al vakantie nodig.

12 year old boy walks up to you with an e-reader to show you the book he's gonna read for his project. He turns it on and the first thing you see, is: 'Lights out' by Navessa Allen. You have not read the book, but you know about it. So you just stare and blink, until the boy swipes it away and says: 'Oh, wait, that's my mom's."
And all you can do is stare and blink some more, then sigh and sign up his perfectly appropriate book. To blow off some steam, you say: "I'm glad you aren't reading Lights out for school, because that would've been awkward for both of us."
He looks you dead in the eye, nods and whispers: "I know." Then he walks away, as if you didn't just witness the trauma in his soul.
