I learned that even form changes
As time passes.
I tore away at myself, on and on,
Resenting the "today" I was being kept from...

Then I made excuses, saying,
"I hope nothing happens to you..." and,
"I regret those days spent under the overpass..."

I waited for you...

And a relentless tomorrow passed me by.
