The two enter the dorm room, and Luke turns around to smile at his mother before taking in his surroundings. The room is a bit bigger than his bedroom at home, but each wall is painted the same plain white. There’s just a lack of band posters. Luke sits down on the bed on the right side of the room.

“I’m claiming this bed,” he tells Liz, who chuckles in response.

“Well, I hope your future roommate agrees.”

Luke shrugs. At this very moment, he doesn’t really care about opinions. He’s one of the few lucky people accepted into Australia’s best dance school, and that’s all that matters.
