Van mij dA account. Is in het engels, want dA is in het engels en ben te lui om te vertalen. Deal with it (cool)

Today, I was taking the train back home (and actually got into the wrong one on the way) and ended up in my towns Central Station. So I headed to the trams, because the tram I have to take stops at my usual station and Central Station.

So I'm at the tram stop. On the way there I noticed a couple arguing (The dude looked like some gangsta person, which made me wonder why anyone would date him in the first place. The girl was kinda prety. An 8. But without make-up and styled hair she'd end up with a 6 probably) They were at the second stop, I was at the 4th. Between the 2nd and 3rd stop was a wall.

Now, as you might have guessed, something happened with said couple. To be exact, the girl was yelling at him, at which point he hit her and then pressed her against the railing, and started strangling her for a few seconds, then dragged her along behind the wall, so I couldn't see anything anymore.

Now, this story is titled why I hate people. The reason can pretty much be summed up by telling you the reactions of the about 50 people who I could see: 40 people continued their conversation as if nothing happened, and 10 people pointed, laughed, and started texting.

Mind you, this is about 10 seconds after those two disapeared out of sight, so it wasnt shock. And the girl had screamed, so they must've heard. Plus, they were in plain sight. So anyway, it took my 10 seconds to realise what the hell just happened (slow, and I'm not happy with it, but I'm damn proud I actually did something, even if it took a while) and then I started walking towards there. Not running, walking. But I slowly sped up. When I saw two people just casually strolling towards the 2nd tram stop, then stopping, then running towards there, I started running too.

I arrived a bit too late, as the couple had been broken up already. Crying girl, dude standing there looking angry. Some woman was talking to her. Appearantly, she was 16, he had been her boyfriend for 15 months, had hit her before, and his family was against their relationship (she was white, which they didn't like) just your average Romeo and Juliet.

But the weird thing is, just as weird as the fact that beside the 4 people who had come there like me, noone had moved or did more then watch, was the fact that when the girl finally stopped crying, and the woman was talking to her about self respect, and how she shouldn't let herself get hit by her boyfriend, about how it wasn't love, the girl just flipped out all of a sudden. She went from almost crying to ballistic in 0.3 seconds, and raged about how the woman knew nothing, how none of us knew anything about what his family had put them through. We didn't know how much he loved her!

At this point, the woman was pretty pissed, and yelled at the girl, then just walked away. The girl then walked towards her 'boyfriend' and hugged him, whispering "sorry"

At this point, the three remaining people just looked at each other. We all had a look like "What the hell just happened?" and then left. Not much we could do, I guess. You can't save people from themselves.
