Harry’s head felt like it was emptying itself. As if nothing crossed his mind anymore. His body flew somewhere in-between unknown spaces. The voices he heard before had disappeared as soon as they had manifested. A bright light had stung his closed eyelids. After a while of hearing nothing, a rainy noise covered his ear cups. The light turned dark and a bad anticipation overwhelmed the being of Harry. The presence of a woman filled his eyesight. Harry recognized the look of her and immediately remembered the young little witch. Before she was just 5 years old, now her memories had skipped to a more recent event. Aleidis was facing a fireplace, one that crackled with a warm noise. In her arms she was holding her tiny little infant tight against her chest. Afraid of something that would do him harm. A radio voice was audible throughout the whole room that was covered in darkness, only given light by the fireplace and a small floor lamp. The curtains were closed, indicating that night had already fallen. ‘I can’t take it anymore.’ Hushed a deep male voice. A red headed, tall young man intruded the peaceful scene while his words interrupted the flood of names, called by the radio voice. Probably dead names. The tall man threw a heavily packed bag into the old couch that was placed facing the fireplace. Aleidis had her back turned to her friend, as if she didn’t want to face him. The man knew straight away that he didn’t need to expect an answer of her whilst a soft sobbing served as a confirmation that she had heard him. These were the hard times Harry had heard from Remus or Sirius about. The height of the First Wizarding war, before he came around. People had lost their hope and believes, just like Aleidis seemed to have done. ‘Look at Tabith.’ The man whispered, hoping she would not ignore him this time. ‘He means the world to you. What would he do without you?’ The redhead looked upon the young with and sighed, knowing she didn’t put any value in his words. He shook his head slightly sideways as a sign of misunderstanding, how could she not care? Aleidis hadn’t responded on any of his actions or words so far. As if, with not engaging in this discussing, the problems this discussing was concerning, would disappear. She just stood there like a statue, motionless with the only tender motion of her dozing off infant. ‘He won’t have to be without me. Ever.’ She answered his words at last. Aleidis turned her head down, looking at her young son and granting him a kiss upon his little forehead. Tabith, unknowing of all this, dug his head further against his mothers chest. The green eyes Harry had inherited of his own mother could witness a drop of tears landing upon the same small head. Although she didn’t say anything, she certainly was aware of the weight of the conversation. ‘You could be the next one they report.' he sighed desperatly to the young witch, hoping for an answer. 'You don’t get to choose.’ The man walked up to Aleidis and stopped right behind her back, laying his hands on her shoulders to rest. Everything in this display shouted separation and the words spoken carried along some kind of fatality with them. Again the beautiful serene like voice of Aleidis stayed unused, like she didn’t know yet how to control these feelings. ‘I can’t take one more death Al. Imagine that’s your name they are calling, or Fabian’s, Molly’s. I can’t cope with that.’ Harry heard names fall he recognized. This was the late brother of Molly. The tall red-haired man was one part of the previous twin. Harry had already seen pictures of Aleidis and the Prewett twin during their years on Hogwarts, but wasn’t aware of the fact that they were still in touch afterwards. Aleidis her presence turned herself around to finally face her old friend, her old friend that seemed to represent every piece of hope mankind had lost in their magical future, to receive a soft kiss upon her own forehead.'I have to do this.' Gideon whispered as a final goodbye.
