When It Rains

The rain comes down like the sky is crying.
And I know that they aren't lying.
When the clouds spread their grey wings out in the open sky
When every light there once was, dies.

My hands are trembling, they're so cold.
Inside my heart the fear unfolds
It spreads its poison through my vains
My tears are falling, like they do when it rains.

May the earth take care of your bones
May the water wash the dirt from the stones
May the air give you your peace
And may the fire burn life's leash.

Find your rest and find your love
Find what you need there, up above.
Rest and peace spread through my vains
My tears are falling, like they do when it rains.

We will never forget you.
