By doing this, Satan showed both his disobedience and his loyalty to God. He was given the rol to tempt mortals, to test them. He took with him other angels who likewise thought mankind didn't deserve it's special status as first among God's creatures.Those angels became the devils.

All the Angels were summoned back to heaven. But ot all went. Sevent rebelled. They turned their back on heaven and cut off their wings. They'd grown too fond of the material Realm. Why wouldn't they? Beautiful, powerful, immortal, they were in every way superior to humans. They became monsters, tyrants. Feared.Loved.Worshipped. Some know them as Vampires. Not good at all!!!!!
