On our own

We always wanted to run away
We just had to fight on our own
It was never meant to be that way
But that wasn't what life had shown

I always knew that I missed something
And that I couldn't make it through
I was always searching for you
But I didn't know what to do

We said that we could make it on our own
But we knew that it wasn't true
And after fighting all the time
That's when I found you

The time had finally come
I never thought that we would end up here
Standing in front of each other
Having no more fear
