    De 29-jarige Rhys is een aspirerend schrijfster in Londen. Ze woont er op de tweede verdieping in een flatje - samen met haar mopshond Joel. Ze leeft er best goed (zijzelf zou het 'modern Pinterest hipster' labelen) en heeft haar laptop altijd honderd procent opgeladen. Het schrijven zelf gaat echter niet zo goed. Ze heeft al meerdere keren een manuscript verstuurd zonder antwoord. Ze blijft echter hoop houden en staat met al haar tien vingers klaar voor het toetsenbord. Naast het schrijven moet Rhys de huur nog betalen en als absolute kers op de taart ontmoet ze een jongen die orde schept in Rhys' chaos. Zal de writersblock vervagen? Zal ze terug haar koffie net niet morsen op Joel (wat een afgesloten hoofdstuk is)? Of zal de ware liefde toch niet zo waar zijn?
