De zeventienjarige Amelia is de dochter van Felippe Grimaldi, de huidige heerser van Monaco. Alleen kan ze niet goed met haar ouders opschieten en zit ze er na de zoveelste ruzie met haar ouders er helemaal doorheen. Ze pakt haar spullen en stapt op de trein naar Lyon, waar het WK voetbal 2012 plaats vindt. Die avond besluit ze naar het dak van het hotel waarin ze verblijft te gaan. In een opwelling loopt ze naar de rand toe en begint ze te overwegen te springen. Maar voordat ze er nog verder over na kan denken houdt iemand haar tegen..
