Het is 2012, de Olympische Spelen komen steeds dichter in zicht en de zusjes Chambers uit het zonnige Palm Bay – Florida gaan een zomer tegemoet om niet meer te vergeten. De vijftienjarige Blair Chambers traint al jaren voor het aankomende toernooi en oefent al sinds kleins af aan op het strand bij haar om de hoek om topzwemster te worden. Nu dit steeds dichter nadert, slaan de zenuwen toe en met haar oudere zus Phoebe aan haar zijde reizen ze samen af naar Londen om de Olympische Spelen bij te wonen.
Door het hectische schema van Blair, treft Phoebe per toeval het Britse schoon; Tom Daley. De twee raken aan de praat en er blijkt een klik te zijn. Hier lijken de Britten en Amerikanen absoluut niet blij mee te zijn en Blair al helemaal niet. Phoebe en Tom worden gezien als verraders. Is er een mogelijkheid om dit alles op te lossen en zo ook de spelen goed te eindigen?
