    Ik heb bij Once Upon a Time altijd het gevoel gehad dat er in Neverland een groot deel miste. Omdat ik erachter kwam dat ik niet de enige was, had ik zoiets van "Waarom ook geen RPG?"
    Dus hierbij een RPG van Once Upon a Time in Neverland.

    De verhaallijn kunnen we nog in het praattopic (dat nog komt) uitwerken, voor de rest is het nog niet echt vastgesteld. Dit zodat meerdere mensen het leuk vinden en niet alleen ik ^-^
    Rules:
    ×Geen "next generation karakters" als het kan. Natuurlijk hoef je je niet volledig aan de OUAT verhaallijn te houden, maar dit is gewoon verwarrend, Pan moet niet plots acht zusjes hebben en Rumple niet dertig kinderen. Dus geen familieleden TENZIJ er een logische verklaring achter zit.

    ×Anderen rollen niet besturen, tenzij het een figurant is natuurlijk
    ×Maximaal 4 rollen, dit is veel, omdat het soms onhandig is als er teveel figuranten zijn. Begin maar met 2 en bewaar de rest voor later
    Aanpassing: Je mag 4 zelf bedachte rollen. Je kan een figurant (Felix, Mister Smee, Devin enz.) op je nemen als je dat leuk vindt.

    Once upon a time,
    there was an island and a boy. Both were unpredictable entities that were intricately connected - and both are known for taking loved ones away from their homes to never return again.
    Peter Pan teaches children the way, and Neverland then, in turn, swallows them whole.
    THE WALLS HAVE CRACKED
          Storybrooke is een vriendelijk en normaal stadje in de Verenigde Staten, Maine, met hele vriendelijke en normale mensen die er wonen. Niks eraan is ongewoon en de inwoners leven hun normale, ordinaire levens en alles is oké - behalve dan dat dit schijn is.
    Storybrooke is een vervloekt stadje bewoond door sprookjesfiguren. Tot vrij recent was niemand zich bewust van het feit dat ze sprookjesfiguren waren, maar die kennis begint weer terug te keren. De chaos van het herinneren was zojuist wat aan het vervagen toen een groep kinderen en geliefden plotseling verdween. In de avond toen iedereen naar bed ging waren ze er nog. De ochtend daarop niet meer.
    Al snel wordt er ontdekt dat de schuld van deze abductie ligt bij Peter Pan, een figuur nooit beïnvloed door de vloek, aangezien hij en Neverland ver, ver weg van de beschaafde wereld zijn.
    Storybrooke stuurt een groep mensen om hun kinderen en vrienden te redden. Dit blijkt nog lang niet zo simpel te zijn.
    PETER BROKE THROUGH

    ʀʊʟɛֆ

    x      Bestuur niemand ander's personages in de roleplay. Je mag enkel je eigen personages en NPC's (non-player characters) besturen, en als je dit doet, houd ze "in character". Het doden van anderen hun personages of onafgesproken familieleden creëren telt als besturen.
    x      Maak geen familieleden van Peter Pan.
    x      Schrijf in je eerste post in het speeltopic in ieder geval 100 tot 200 worden. Na je introductie ben je vrij om zoveel of weinig woorden te gebruiken als nodig.
    x      Houd spam en het bespreken van relaties in het praattopic.
    x      Val anderen niet lastig, houd het beleefd.
    x      Maak je personage niet oppermachtig en probeer de aandacht verdeeld te houden. We spelen dit met zijn allen, het is niet leuk als er geen evenwicht in het verhaal zit.
    x      Voeg waarschuwingen toe aan je rol zodien nodig. (Bijvoorbeeld bij seksueel misbruik, mishandeling, zelfbeschadiging, pesten, zelfmoord, etc.)
    x      16+ is toegestaan zolang het onder een spoiler staat met een waarschuwing erboven. (Houd het tussen de volwassen personages)
    x      Als je iets niet goed begrijpt, communiceer hierover om misverstanden te voorkomen.
    x      Je mag je personage aanpassen terwijl we spelen, maar niet om een discussie of gevecht in de RPG te winnen.
    x      Dram niet je zin door nadat ik iets afgekeurd heb, ik doe het met een reden.
    PLEASE READ THIS!!!!
    x      Deze roleplay werkt op een iets traditionelere manier dan gewoonlijk, met een DM (dungeon master) die het verhaal stuurt en de NPC's speelt (behalve als spelers comfortabel zijn met dit zelf doen). Ik ben de DM. Dat is waarom de personages en het plot zulke specieke richtlijnen hebben.

    x      Zelfs al is Storybrooke van Once Upon A Time gebruikt, lijkt de interpretatie van Neverland en Peter Pan hierin absoluut niet op die uit de serie. Om eerlijk te zijn vond ik die interpretatie zeer matig en gebruik ik liever mijn eigen, die dichterbij het boek zit en inspiratie pakt van Keltische fae.










    ȶɦɛ քʟօȶ աɦɛռ ֆɨʍքʟɨʄɨɛɖ

    Peter Pan has kidnapped a few people (max. 4, preferably children or women or excessive people pleasers who are being pushed around by everyone in their lives) who the people in Storybrooke care deeply about. Reasons for this may vary, but there is at least one person among them that he actually needs for something important (to him). Reasons like this could be something such as him finding them very interesting due to their imagination, but also something such as being a relative of Hook who Peter wants to pester. The people kidnapped aren't in horrible danger, but they are at significant risk since time goes so slowly on Neverland that by the time they decide to go home, decades may have passed (if not longer). Also, Peter is a sadistic asshole who likes killing people for fun and dragging his lost boys into extremely dangerous adventures. Also, the longer you stay on Neverland, the more you begin to forget your life before it, making you not want to leave.

    A group from Storybrooke (max. 10, preferably all over the age of twenty) goes to rescue these kidnapped people before they have entirely forgotten about their former lives. This proves itself rather difficult, for Neverland isn't particularly kind on adults.

    THE RESCUERS (max. 10)
    The rescuers are people who live in Storybrooke. The curse has likely been broken for a while now, making the people in Storybrooke aware of their fairy tale lives and probably capable of using magic if they had the ability to do so as a fairy tale.
    Requirements for rescuer characters are:
    - They must be based on a fairy tale character (loose interpretations are allowed)
    - They must be an adult
    - They must in some way have a reason to want to rescue the people that have been kidnapped (this may be anything - they may know the person they're rescuing, but they may also just believe that they're fit for the job, or craving adventure)

    Rescuer characters may be a canon character, but also a personal interpretation of a fairy tale. Try to ensure that this fairy tale would fit in the Enchanted Forest, so that it makes sense that they live in Storybrooke. (One may want to avoid fairy tales such as Alice in Wonderland or The Wizard of Oz for this reason)
    It is allowed to use a fairy tale that's already used in Once Upon A Time (eg. Snow White), and to give it a different interpretation than they did in the show. However, please discuss such with me beforehand to make sure it fits the plot still.


    THE KIDNAPPED PEOPLE (max. 4)
    The kidnapped people are people brought to Neverland by Peter Pan. They were brought there mostly willingly and may not be entirely aware that they are stuck on the island. Peter doesn't keep them captive and instead treats them the same as he does his lost boys.
    Requirements for kidnapped characters are:
    - They must be under the age of twenty five (and preferably are much younger)
    - If they are above the age of fourteen, they must have a reason as to why they dislike their home life (eg. they aren't respected by anyone, they have a toxic family, they feel disconnected from reality, etc.). I prefer this to be something else than them just liking books, because honestly, don't we all lol.

    One of the people here is probably going to be Peter's subject of fascination - or two. At least one is taken just because Peter likes them as a person a lot. An alternative second is allowed if someone comes up with a reason why he'd abduct them. The pettier, the better (eg. they're Captain Hook's cousin and he is pissed to find out that Hook is alive so he decides to punish him for that). You may ask to be either one of those, though for the first category I'll likely pick someone myself.


    THE PIRATES (max. 6)
    The pirates are a group of adults who have mostly been stuck there for a very long time. They may have some memories of who they were before Neverland, but it's relatively possible that some of them forgot entirely. They hate Peter Pan and everything that lives on Neverland with a burning passion since it keeps trying to kill them.
    Pirates are allowed to be mean. It is also allowed to fill in whether they've always been stuck on Neverland, or if they were in Storybrooke and are now returning - I have no specific wishes regarding such.
    Requirements for pirates are:
    REGULAR PIRATES:
    I really don't have any specific rules that apply here, except for:
    - Make them an adult
    For the rest, it's up to you.

    CAPTAIN HOOK:
    Now, I don't want to dictate specific characters too much, so pretty much everything is up to you aside from one thing.
    - The dynamic from the book with Peter must remain the same or at least very similar. Hook must hate Peter and Peter hates him back. They must be similar to each other so that they can have a relation like a father and child who have fallen out badly.

    You can keep the OUAT Hook, for I know he's super popular, I just... Hate what they did to his dynamic with Peter? So, whatever you do, I'd love you if you managed to keep this the same.
    Hook may live in Storybrooke and be one of the rescuers. He may also appear elsewhere. It's up to you.


    THE LOST BOYS (max. 6)
    The lost boys are children without families who live with Peter on Neverland. Their house is a hole under the ground beneath a tree. They are loyal to Peter and don't experience as much misfortune on Neverland as adults due to them being favored by Peter - and the fact that they are children.
    Requirements for lost boys are:
    - They are under the age of sixteen, preferably under the age of fourteen even (though I understand that this is rather young when you haven't been such age for a while)
    - They were abandoned or mistreated by their parents and thus don't have good memories of their life before Neverland

    Lost boys may be of any gender, despite the name being a little misleading.


    THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE (max. 6)
    The indigenous people, in the book referred to as indians or redskins (but since these are rather racist terms I won't be using them), are what seems to be closest to the original human folk of Neverland. They likely live in a village and partake in hunting, gathering, and farming to gain their food. If anyone decides to play one of the natives, then we'll have to discuss what kind of tribe they are exactly (since, again, the book is pretty racist regarding this) - but they dislike the pirates in specific.
    Requirements for indigenous people are:
    - They are written as actual people and not a caricature
    - If faceclaims are used, this is an actual indigenous person/native American/Inuit person/Hawaiian person (depending on the exact interpretation you're going with)

    The indigenous people can be any age or gender. Neverland does not inconvenience them regardless of their specific age and Peter generally respects them.


    OTHER CHARACTERS (max. 5)
    The other characters include everyone who doesn't fall under the other labels. In specific, they could be fairies (small but mischievous creatures with emotional extremes), or mermaids (half human, half fishes who try to drown humans or at least like to pester them a bit). If you have any specific ideas that fall even outside of that category, please tell me about this idea before dropping your role so that we can discuss the logistics of it.

    Nevermore wordt geboren op het platteland, echter is ze de onbekende dochter van pirate S. Bombaille. Never groeit op bij haar moeder Abigail Adams. Wanneer de moeder van Never overleed op Nevers 10de zei ze dat Never de dochter was van piraat S. Bombaille, de meest beruchte en machtslustige piraat van de zee. Echter ging Never op pad en kwam bij hem terecht. Hij was aardig, maar zijn vrouw Cruella was het meest lelijkste kreng uit de geschiedenis van lelijkste krengen. Never haatte haar, en toen ze het op haar veertiende tegen haar vader zei werd ze in de kerker gegooid, ook al was ze zijn dochter. Never werd echter gered door de schaduw, en hij vervulde haar wens. Ze werd naar Neverland gebracht als zeemeermin die ook over het eiland kon rennen met een armband. Dat gebeurde, ze kon nog 17 jaar worden voordat de tijd stil werd gezet en Never niet meer ouder werd.

    Randall is echter geboren met de naam Frisso Cornelius Theodore de vierde in een rijk gezin in Engeland. Frisso Cornelius Theodore de vierde was echter meer van van zijn moeder en had altijd ruzie met zijn vader. Op een dag hadden zijn moeder en zijn vader ook ruzie, en dat was dagen zo. Toen Frisso ooit de moed had om te kijken zag hij hoe zijn moeder huilde en zijn vader op haar schold. Frisso kon het niet aanzien, als twaalfjarige rende hij weg van huis. Hij heeft zich toen verstopt in de bagage van een jonkvrouw die op reis was naar Frankrijk, maar in zijn eerste week krijgt hij een auto ongeluk waardoor hij alles vergeet. Een oude vrouw komt hem halen en noemt hem ''Randall''. Randall vond die naam ook mooier en accepteerde het. Ze hadden veel lol samen, en hij vond haar veel leuker dan zijn echte ouders. Toen die vrouw echter stierf door ouderdom werd hij een tijd daarna, op zijn zeventiende, ontvoerd door de schaduw naar Neverland. Peter kon hem goed gebruiken en hij werd lost boy.

    FAIRY TALE:
    Clodwal is the titular antagonist of "Bluebeard", a story about him, a rich man, who marries women and then kills them once they discover that he is a serial killer. His story mainly focuses on his marriage with Ethel Sentry, a young woman who manages to trick him when he attempts to trick her, and eventually gets him caught. Contrary to her belief, he does not die, and is instead imprisoned.

    𝔒𝔑ℭ𝔈 UPON A TIME


    Fairy tales may be based on real stories - and these stories might live right under our noses, in a small town in Maine, to be exact. How this came to be?
    Well, once upon a time, an evil queen decided that she was fed up with her lack of a happy ending. And thus, she cursed each and every creature in her forest to live with her in a town - one where they'd have no power, memories, or fulfillment, except for her. A clever solution to her problem.

    Now, it is somewhat unfortunate when one day, this small town wakes up not in Maine, but in the midst of an evil forest on a seemingly deserted island. Deserted aside from the faery and his Lost Boys that claimed it, that is.
    To summarize: A part of the population of Storybrooke is transported to Neverland, and Peter Pan is evil to them and seems to have plans with the people he kidnapped. Good luck surviving.

    WHO DO WE PLAY?

          We play cursed fairy tale characters who are now trapped on Neverland. The curse is not yet entirely broken, so the characters will have trouble navigating in a world of magic due to their memory loss.
    You could play a character from the OUAT show itself (eg. Regina, Snow White, Ruby/Red Riding Hood, etc.), but you're also allowed to create your own fairy tale character. Alternatively, you're allowed to play a Lost Boy, pirate, or native (the "indians" from the book), though you will have to communicate more with me in order to do so.

    THE RULES:

    PLEASE MAKE SURE TO READ THESE.
    x      Keep in mind that this is a Once Upon a Time related fan-roleplay. Don't include other fandoms or shows in here.
    x      Try to keep spam and conversations in the discussion topics. Use the character topics for the files and questions regarding those only.
    x      Do not create family members of canonical characters. I am willing to make exceptions whenever your character idea is well thought out in my opinion, but try not to do this.
    x      Feel free to use fairy tales that were not used in OUAT to create a character.
    x      Feel free to make different versions of fairy tale characters that are introduced after Season 3A (the season that focuses on Neverland). I'm aware how many characters this show has and how chewed out everything gets at some point, so if you want to create a different version of Anna from Frozen or any other character that's introduced after Peter Pan, do so.
    x      Be thorough with your character files so that other players know what to expect.
    x      Take no for an answer. If I tell you you're not allowed to play a certain something, then that is final.
    x      The maximum amount of characters one is allowed to play is 4.

    x      Don't ever control someone else's character in the game itself.
    x      Whenever conflict arises, please attempt to keep the argument civil. Don't bully or harass others.
    x      The minimum word count for your first post is 200 words. This is so that you have a solid starting point. From there on, you may use as many or little words as you need. You don't need to keep up a word count, especially not if it slows you down.

    ROLES:

          In all sincerity, I don't really care about the number of men and women. As long as your character is entertaining, you're allowed in.

    STORYBROOKE CHARACTERS:
    These are all the characters that were taken from Storybrooke to Neverland. They will be brainwashed fairy tales, so to say. They wake up in their own bedroom, but as soon as they exit their houses, it disappears, and they are stuck in a large tropical rain forest with no explanation for this sudden shift in reality. Most of these characters will have been brought to Neverland because Peter Pan needs something from them - though this could range from an actual something to just blunt amusement - you never know with Peter, after all.

    NEVERLAND CHARACTERS:
    These include pirates, mermaids, fairies, Lost Boys, and the natives. Please discuss it with me if you intend on playing one of these characters, because the interpretation of Neverland and Peter Pan are quite different in this roleplay from the Neverland in OUAT. By communicating we can make sure that all characters still fit into the picture.
    All of these characters should be viewed more as side characters or supporting cast members than as the protagonists. They view the quest, but won't be playing a lead role in it - aside from perhaps the pirates and Peter himself.
